The occupation forces broke into Urma mountain in Beita town in south Nablus which led to violent confrontations with the citizens.
Local sources said that the occupation forces received back up from vehicles which surrounded Urma mountain after midnight. The soldiers heavily fired bullets, teargas and sound bombs at the citizens; and expelled the journalists from the area. Several citizens were shot and others suffocated after inhaling the gas.
The occupation and settlers have always sought seizing the mountain for its important location and the presence of over 5,000-year-old artefacts.
