The elections Central Committee announced receiving 15 candidate lists. The Committee approved five so far: Palestine for Everyone, Democratic Change, Independent Youth Dignity, Loyalty and Construction, and That’s Enough. It is still reviewing the other requests.  

Hamas submitted its list under the slogan ‘Al-Quds Unites Us’ in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.  

Khalil Al-Hayya, leader in Hamas, told the journalists that the list includes tens of female leaders, injured, and diverse tribal groups. He said that Hamas adheres to the legal procedures as stipulated in the elections law. Although the movement wished for a joint list for all Palestinians, the chances for such list seem unattainable.
