The Central Elections Committee said in a press release that the candidacy period for the Legislative Council elections is over. It started on March 20 and ended on 31.

The Committee said that it received 36 requests and has so far approved 13. It has already delivered the approval notices and the remaining requests are still under examination.

The Committee also said that a preliminary list of names would be announced on April 6 so the citizens can review them and submit their objections to the Committee.
