Jun 19, 2021 05:11 pm

Violent confrontations erupted between the families in Beita town in south Nablus and the Israeli occupation forces after the latter had oppressed the worshippers after Friday prayer and had fired teargas to disperse them.

The forces closed down all the town's entrances with sand walls to prevent the citizens from other areas to reach the town where daily protests are held against the settlement project at Sbeih mountain.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said that 47 citizens were injured in the confrontations. 42 of the citizens suffocated from the gas and 5 were shot with metal bullets causing fractures to two of them.

In Nabi Saleh village, a 20-year-old young man was injured with bullet shrapnel in his hand and waist during the confrontations with the occupation forces. The injury was reported mild.
