Security forces disguised in civilian clothes oppressed the demonstrators who were protesting in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank for the third day in a raw against the assassination of the activist and legislative elections candidate Nziar Banat who was murdered while under arrest.
The security forces assaulted the protestors, fired teargas at them and attacked the journalists confiscating their phones and preventing them from filming.
Thousands grouped in Ramallah demanding the resignation of President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian government, and overthrow of the existing regime. They also declared a timeless strike at Al-Manara square in downtown.
The Palestinian factions condemned the PA's security assaults against the protestors describing such act as failure of policy. The Popular Front urged the Palestinian people in the West Bank to head to the streets and protest against the security practices against the citizens.
