The PALM Strategic Initiatives Centre held a course titled ‘the Art of Journalistic Writing’ that was delivered by Dr. Ibrahim AlZaeem who is also the Director of the Centre. The attendants included the staff and others interested in Arabic language.

The course addressed three main topics: The basics of editing the news; the proficiency of using Arabic and accuracy of selecting the terms without affecting the meaning; and the false terms that are widely used and the damage they could do to the Palestinian cause.

Dr. Alzaeem presented real-life examples on the editing process, and terms in the newspapers and websites.

The course was held in June, 2020. It lasted for 3 days and was well-received by the attendants who found it beneficial to raising the awareness about culture in Arabic.
