Abbas: No Elections Without Al-Quds

Nov 10, 2021 10:35 am

Mahmoud Abbas, the president of the Palestinian Authority, said, during the opening ceremony of the new office for the Central Elections Committee in Al-Bireh in the West Bank, that there will not be elections as long as the Israeli occupation refuses to conduct in Al-Quds.

He noted that he is not ready to run behind Donald Trump, the former president of the US, who himself decided to recognize Al-Quds as a capital to the Israeli occupation.

He also called on the US government to stick to its promises to open a US Embassy for the Palestinians in the east of Al-Quds.
