Dozens of students were injured and others were asphyxiated by the Israeli occupation during a walk organized to commemorate the 17th anniversary of the assassination of the Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat in Taqou. 

They fired metal bullets and gas canisters at the students. Hence, the teaching commission suspended the study, fearing the lives of the students.
