Israeli media outlets reported the death of two Israeli soldiers and the injury of three others; one injury is serious, in a shooting operation implemented by the Jerusalemite Fadi Abu Shakhedim, 42, near Bab Al-Selsela in Al-Quds, as an attempt to defend himself and resist the Israeli occupation. 

Channel 20 reported that Abu Shakhedim was shot dead after carrying out the operation. It added that he is a teacher working in Al-Rashidiya school in Al-Quds, and that the Israel occupation forces raided the school after the operation and stomped Shufat camp. 

It also showed video clips of intensive shooting in the old town and the spread of the Israeli occupation near the gates of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa and the old town after the operation. 

Other Israeli media outlets spoke about the arrest of another Palestinian, who attempted to stab the Israeli police’ officers, addining that the operation is well-prepared, as the wife of the martyr and his children travelled outside 3 days ago. 

Abu Shakhedim is an ex-prisoner and one of the protectors of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa. He also has a Masters degree in the Islamic Shariah.
