Decision to Demolish Dozens of Houses in Yasoul

Dec 04, 2021 10:27 am

In statements to Al-Aqsa Radio, a member of the Yasoul neighbourhood committee in the occupied town of Salwan in Jerusalem, Khalid Shueki, said that the Israeli occupation court had acknowledged the demolition of 58 houses in Wadi Yasoul and the displacement of more than 600 holy people from their homes.

Shueki explained that the demolition would be at any time, stressing that this decision displaced the people from their homes, noting that this was unjust and unfair, and added that they had come to international organizations and human rights institutions.

Observers expect the coming days to see a major escalation in the demolitions in Silwan, considering that this development has political meanings that are mainly linked to the conditions of the far-right Government, which are under threat of disintegration.
