Occupation Continues to Deny Visitation to Jerusalemite Female Prisoners

Dec 05, 2021 09:15 am

The Chairman of the Committee of Prisoners of Jerusalem, Amjad Abu Assab, said that the administration of Israeli occupation prisons continued to deny family visits to women prisoners for the third month in a row.

Out of 34 Palestinian prisoners in Damon prison, 12 were denied a visit under the pretext of carrying out maintenance and restoration work in detention. The administration of the occupation prisons continued to violate them and to undermine their rights in order to impose further psychological and physical distress and abuse on them.

As part of the activities of the 16-day campaign against violence against women and under the slogan "Freedom for all women," activists have organized a protest against violations and practices against prisoners and prisoners in Israeli prisons.
