Occupation Court Rejects Prisoner Abu Hawash's petition

The Israeli occupation court decided not to rule on the petition filed by the prisoner Hisham Abu Huash, who has been on a hunger strike for 112 days in protest against his administrative arrest.

Through the petition, Abu Hawash demanded his administrative detention to be suspended and to be referred to a civilian hospital, as his health situation deteriorated.

The attorney for the Prisoner's Club, Jawad Boules, stated that the Court had requested him to withdraw the petition because the legal proceedings had not yet been completed at the Military Appeals Court, but after the lawyer's insistence it had decided to keep the petition pending and had ordered the Occupation Prisons Department to submit two medical reports explaining the health situation of the prisoner Abu Hawash.

According to the attorney, the prison administration is pursuing a new policy for prisoners on strike to keep them in detention and refuse to be taken to hospital after their health has deteriorated. To extract this right, the prisoner needs an additional tour in the court corridors.
