Occupation Forbids Visits to Prisoners of Ofar

Dec 07, 2021 10:41 am

The Occupation Prison Administration forbids the prisoners’ families from visiting their sons, under the pretext of the Corona pandemic, most recently in the Awfar prison.

Specialists in the prisoners’ affairs told Palestine newspaper that the Prison Administration claimed that there was no certificate for the parents to prove that they had received the third dose of the vaccine against the coronavirus. Although, they were not informed that the third dose should be taken.

Bushra Al-Tawil, a specialist in the prisoners’ affairs,  blamed the international commission, which had the primary responsibility for organizing the visits, for putting pressure on the occupation to allow them to visit.

The Ofar prison has approximately 800 prisoners in 12 sections, including minors.
