Dec 08, 2021 11:02 am

The Israeli occupation government announced the formal completion of the construction of the concrete-steel wall around the Gaza Strip. The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth said that the project, which began about 3 years and a half ago, cost some 3.5 billion shekels. A large fence was constructed underground and along the 65 km border with the Gaza Strip from the Egyptian border south to the Zikim kibbutz north.

The fence was constructed tens of meters beneath the Earth's surface and was equipped with ground-based tunneling sensors, while an electronic wall 6 meters above the Earth's fence was constructed with cameras and observation sensors.

The Israeli Minister of occupation, Benny Gants, claimed that the wall put a barrier between Hamas and settlers and stole one Hamas' capabilities, adding that they would continue to prepare to undermine Hamas's capabilities of targeting the settlers.
