Occupation Releases Sheikh Salah

Dec 14, 2021 09:19 am

The Israeli occupation released Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the Islamic Movement in the 1948 occupied Palestinian territories, after an arrest of about 16 months.

The Palestinian factions, the national forces, the Palestinian people, and the Arab and Islamic nations congratulated Sheikh Raed Salah on his release, as he is a symbol of the struggle and defense of Palestine against the occupiers.

The occupation police arrested Sheikh Salah in mid-August 2017, charged him with "incitement to violence and terrorism in speeches and statements," and spent 11 months in prison, before being released to a domestic prison, under strict conditions.

He was rearrested in February 2020, following the decision of the Occupation Court that he will be imprisoned for 28 months on the same charge, and he will be detained in solitary confinement.
