Haaretz: Settlers’ Violence in West Bank Increases

Haaretz newspaper criticized Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's statements, during which he described the settlers’ attacks against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank a "marginal phenomenon."

The newspaper said there had been a clear increase in the number of settlers’ attacks against the Palestinians in the West Bank during the current year compared to previous years, with 135 cases of stone-throwing against Palestinians compared to 90 cases in 2019, and another 250 cases of violence against 100. According to Yesh Din organization, which documents the settlers’ violence  acts in the West Bank, said that 540 cases of violence have been recorded in the past three years, and 238 Palestinians have complained to the occupation police.

This year, B'Tselem monitored a 28% increase in settler violence compared to last year.
