The Islamic Jihad Movement condemned extremists’ acts of setting fire to copies of the Holy Quran in Malmo, Sweden; and posting videos of them doing so on social media websites. The Islamic Jihad and the Ministry of Awqaf stressed that such actions are terrorist and incite against Islam, and are protected by foreign governments. The two urged all Muslims and their commissions to condemn this act and respond to it.

In Gaza, the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs condemned the burning of the Quran and emphasized that such actions reflect the Islamophobic behavior against Islam and Muslims. The Ministry also demanded that the executers must be punished for what they did.
