The Hebrew press focused today on the crime of the Al Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Aqleh. Haaretz, in its opening article, entitled “international investigation is required” asked the Israeli government to apologise, and called for opening an international investigation under an international supervision and protecting the journalists.

In the same newspaper, Amos Heriel, said in an article entitled “the killing of this journalist is a risky incident that requires…” that Israeli’s evasion achieves a reverse result and only strengthens the Palestinians’ narrative about the incident.

Yedioth Ahronoth, in its opening article entitled “Dont’t hurry up to apologise and don’t repeat the mistake”, called for committing to interrogation and publishing the results no matter how embarrassing they were.

In the same newspaper, author Aréla Ringle Hoffman, under the headline: "The Battle over the Novel", says that the truth does not matter in the death of journalist Shireen. As long as the occupation of the areas continues, it is difficult for anyone to explain such matters and the damage they cause.

In Israel today, Nadav Stokhler said in his article entitled "A test hour for the national media system", that the Israeli media system should crystallize a clear narrative, prepare a visual investigation in English and tighten messages of sympathy to the journalist.

Gerrick Roman, in his article in the newspaper Maariv, entitled "The Battle over the Novel", referred to a conflict over international consciousness.
