US Administration Decides Positive Steps Towards PA

Israeli sources reported that the US administration decided to take positive steps towards the Palestinian Authority, as part of its endeavours to strengthen its power.  

Zaman of Yesrael website reported that the administration of the US President Joe Biden decided to strengthen diplomatic relations with the Authority instead of reopening the US consulate east of occupied Al-Quds, due to the rejection of the occupation. The website quoted two official sources, one Palestinian and one American, that Biden decided to appoint the diplomat Hadi Amr is a Special Envoy for the Palestinian Territories, and the Palestinian Affairs Follow-up Section of the U.S. The Embassy in Al-Quds began contacting him instead of the U.S. Ambassador in Al-Quds.
