The Israeli Knesset, by preliminary reading, approved the law draft that criminalizes the raising of the Palestinian flag in the 1948 occupied interior. 

Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the Knesset ratified the draft with 63 votes, while 16 opposed, including members from the United Arab List Party. 

The law draft bans the raising of the flag of “the enemies”, including the Palestinian flag inside the institutes and universities despite the non-recognition of the Palestinian Authority as a state until now.
