The Israeli newspaper Israel Today revealed a settlement scheme to build a "national park" on a space of 1 million dunums between Al-Quds and the Dead Sea.
The paper explained that the plan is "preliminary" and aims to change the region's identity, making it a destination for settler hikers. Te strategic plan had been finalized, and work had begun by its operators to find partners in implementation.
The newspaper predicted that the scheme would receive international opposition, as it undermines the "two-State solution". To overcome this opposition, the planners would seek to initiate practical practices on the ground by carrying out daily intrusions of settlers in the area along with other activities.
