The Palestinian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the Israeli occupation employs the U.S. statement on the assassination of Palestinian journalist Shirin Abu Aqleh to bring her case into question, in preparation for the closure of her assassination file.

The Ministry said that after the statement issued by the State Department on the assassination of Abu Aqleh, the entity's sentencing staff quickly made statements based on this statement with the aim of concealing the fact that an Israeli soldier had committed the murder of Abu Aqleh. The US Department State has provided the occupation with a safe way out of responsibilit4y for the assassination of Abu Aqleh.
