Israeli occupation army Minister Benny Gantz met with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas at the headquarters in Ramallah, occupied West Bank.

During the meeting, Abbas stressed the importance of creating a political horizons and respecting the agreements signed, stressing the need to create an atmosphere before US President Joe Biden visits the region.

The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that the meeting addressed several pressing issues, most notably the US President's forthcoming visit to the region during the current month and security coordination, as the parties agreed to strengthen security coordination and prevent any step that could destabilize security in the region.
