The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Egypt is conducting intensive contacts all the time to calm the situation down in Gaza, and preserve lives and property.

The head of the Hamas political bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, confirmed to the Egyptian intelligence leadership, during a phone call, that all what happened in the Gaza Strip is to be borne by the occupation alone, and he emphasized the necessity of stopping the bombing.
