The International Commission to Support Palestinian People’s Rights “Hashd”, Saturday, organized a graduation ceremony for researchers in the "Human Rights Researcher" training program -8th group. It contains of 25 male and female researchers from the Gaza Strip.
Dr. Salah Abdel Atti, Head of Hashd, welcomed the participants and guests, and thanked PALM Strategic Initiatives Center, which funded this program.
Dr. Abdel Atti Indicated that “Hashd”, through the training program, developed different tools and various means for developing the youth cadre through a long-term program which is “Human Rights Researcher" training program." It stands on three strategic objectives, which are: First, promoting the status of young people in society and enhancing their participation and involvement to face challenges. Second, benefiting from the energy and capabilities of Palestinian youth in monitoring and following up on all human rights violations.
Participants could develop and produce 39 fact papers, policy papers, situation papers and qualitative human rights reports, part of which were translated into English, sent to all international human rights organization published on social media, and also sent to all decision makers. Through their papers, they addressed Al-Quds, refugees, prisoners, the siege on the Gaza Strip and forced displacement, and highlighted the occupation's violations throughout the year.
Dr. Abd El-Ati added: “as for the third objective, it is represented in developing new legal tools in the legal space under a strategy based on qualitative research.”.
Dr. Ibrahim Alzaeem, Head of PALM Strategic Initiatives Center, said: “we are in urgent need of such samples and training programs that develops talents, and improve the youth skills to pursue the many crimes that do not stop at any end.”
He added: “we are very happy with this collaboration with the International Commission “Hashd”, so that we cooperate in defending our legitimate national rights.”
