31th Arab Summit in Algeria Starts

Today, the works of the 31st Arab Summit in Algeria start. It is the first in three years in light of the conflicts witnessed by regions, especially in Syrian and Libya, and the normailzation of relations by several countries with the Israeli occupation.

According to Algerian media platforms, it is expected that 17 Arab leaders will participate in the summit that will be held over two days under the title of “Reunion.”

Hussam Zaki, Secretary General of the Arab League, confirmed that the Arab Foreign Ministers have reached “consensus” regarding the issues offered in the Summit’s schedule during their preparatory meeting. 

The Arab Leagure that includes 22 countries held its last summit in March, 2019 in Tunis before the outbreak of conoravirus pandemic.
