The United States has confirmed that it is putting pressure on the United Nations not to expand the blacklist of companies operating in Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank.

The U.S. State Department confirmed that it had taken action in this context and contacted the U.N. Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) to convey its concerns about the list, which was first published in 2020.
