The former Israeli Prime Minister, Yair Lapid, said he feared that National Security Minister Itmar Ben Gvir would trigger a third uprising.
During several interviews with Israeli media, he explained that "Ben Gvir's actions, the latest of which was the incursion of Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, as well as his move to change the opening-fire instructions and passage of some Palestinian bills, may prompt such a trend."
According to the Israeli newspaper Maariv, the security institution of the occupation is concerned about such actions, stating that his government has made a great effort to prevent further attacks and detonate the situation, and warned against the imposition of "Ben Gvir" and "Smotrich" for its right-wing policies that could harm the relationship with the US administration even at the security level
