Turning a Blind Eye in Huwara Brings Forgotten Things

From Huwara to all over the world, people knew that a huge Fedayeen revenge operation would occur in Huwara. Only the security agency didn't know, or maybe it knew but turned a deaf ear.

Israeli army, border guard, and Shin Bet (Shabak) haven't got prepared to any massacre, and didn't do anything to prevent it. This could have resulted from their carelessness or deliberate irregardlessness. At least, 400 colonial settlers, some of them armed, some masked, and some others holding batons, iron chains, Molotov cocktails, stormed Huwara and no one did prevent them.

Again, the Palestinians were shown as helpless, and there was no one to defend their lives. The army's irregardlessness wasn't by chance; there was someone in the Israeli army who intended what the settlers did in Huwara to punish the Palestinians and achieve deterrence through committing a massacre. The same thing happened in the Sabra and Satilla massacre when the Israeli army turned a blind eye and let the colonial settlers commit that severe massacre. In Huwara it wasn't a massacre by any means, but no one could guarantee that if the colonial settlers wanted to slaughter the citizens, no one would have stopped them. No one could stop the gangs in Sabra and Satilla and no one could stop them in Huwara.

Hawara yesterday was like a ghost town and besieged war city. Reporters are still wearing war vests, all shops are closed, the streets are empty, only the colonial settlers walk down the streets of the village, this is another clear evidence of apartheid. Furthermore, there are those who stopped and got out of cars under the guardianship of the army and began to provoke citizens who stood at the entrance of their burning homes and smoke-rising cars with enraged facial expressions, but without uttering a word. The soldiers on the other side did not raise a finger.
