It's Time to Change the Policy

Israel Today – adapted

In the past year, there has been a deterioration in the security situation in Judea and Samaria. Senior policemen in the Israeli army say that an escalation is around the corner; every day, there are stones and Molotov cocktails being thrown towards private cars and buses. Also, resistance fighters shoot fire toward the settlers' houses every day.

As all settlers know, the Israeli army does its job sufficiently. Every day, the IOF storm Nablus or Jenin to eliminate the resistance and maintain the calmness in “Israeli cities” as possible.

Anyone who has served once in the Israeli army knows that the operation requires two items to be done; the tool and the intention. The tool is the arsenal of weapons, which the Israeli army estimates to exist in each Palestinian house. While, the intention emerges in Tik Tok's provocative videos, which were widely popular among Palestinians. Since years, there have been attempts to commit operations in Beit Huwwara, Nablus. The resistance fighters' attempts finally culminated in the killing of two colonial settlers.

For months, colonial settlers have been calling for "Protective Wall 2" operation (a military operation that was widely carried out in the West Bank in 2002). The speech goes beyond tank brigades, or infantry into Jenin, but  to change policy and reestablish deterrence. This policy is the one that should be adopted now, as it indicates Israel's dominance over the region.

Terrorism must be eradicated, we have had enough of "managing the conflict", we have had enough of trying to keep the region quiet while the resistance fighters prove to us that the opposite, it is time to change the policy.
