The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested 700 Palestinians from Al-Quds during the first quarter of this year, including 110 children and 24 women and girls.

Palestine Center for Prisoners Studies reported that the Israeli occupation issued 49 administrative detention orders against prisoners from Al-Quds, and issued actual prison sentences against 112 Jerusalemite prisoners, in addition to imposing heavy financial fines on the majority of them. The occupation courts also issued 85 house arrest orders, including 42 children.

According to the center, the first months of this year were harsh for Jerusalemites. The occupation government escalated targeting them with various forms of abuse and oppression, most notably the arrest of hundreds, summons, financial fines, deportation, and finally house arrest.
