Riyad Mansour, the permanent representative of Palestine to the United Nations, stated that the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, will deliver a speech in the United Nations on Al-Nakba commemoration on May 15.

Mansour added that the Nakba will be commemorated for the first time at the UN. In addition, he assured that the UN acknowledged this Nakba and the necessity of commemorating it in the UN General Assembly, along with other initiatives for the upcoming May 15.

In another context, Mansour said that an open ministerial meeting, with the attendance of a group of foreign ministers from different countries, will be held on the 25th of this month. The meeting will address all violations against the Palestinians and all places attacked by the Israeli occupation. Moreover, the meeting will call for complete protection for the Palestinian civilians.
