The Israeli occupation's Supreme Court refused a petition to evacuate Al-Khan Al-Ahmar village, east of occupied Al-Quds.
The court denied the petition's demand that the occupation government immediately demolish Al-Khan Al-Ahmar and evict its residents. It added that Al-Khan Al-Ahmar's destruction will be “according to the government's decision and vision, based on security and political considerations."
Moreover, judges in the occupation government rejected the government's assertions that Al-Khan Al-Ahmar cannot be evacuated at this time. This came under some reasons connected to the entity's security and its foreign relations.
In response to the government's petition to delay delivering its response on the evacuation of Al-Khan Al-Ahmar, the Supreme Court decided to have a session in February to address the evacuation and displacement of Al-Khan Al-Ahmar in May.
