The Israeli Broadcasting Corporation said that the head of the Israeli Shabak, Ronen Barr, met with United Nations officials and warned them of the collapse of the Palestinian Authority.

The Head of Shabak said that the Palestinian Authority had lost its capacity to operate and had lost control over many areas of the northern occupied West Bank.

Barr tried to justify the military operations carried out by the Israeli occupation army in the north of the Bank, owing to the weakness of authority, which obliged the army to intervene and act.

Barr also held talks with the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Peacebuilding, Rosemary DeCarlo, about the Iranian file, the situation in Gaza, including the file of Israeli prisoners and missing persons, and about the "Israeli efforts" in this file.
