Yedioth Ahronoth – Adapted
We might refer to the Jenin campaign as both one of Benjamin Netanyahu's most effective political campaigns and a tactically successful campaign that has accomplished a key military goal, namely the reduction of weaponry possessed by the Palestinian resistance in Jenin. Netanyahu might experience a few weeks or months of stability in his extremely fragile regime because of the number of Palestinian martyrs in Jenin.
The Jenin campaign, however, serves as the best temporary solution for deep trouble. Although the threat posed by the camp has diminished in terms of the weapons at its disposal, it is unlikely that attempts to carry out fedayeen operations will really decrease. The majority of the resistance fighters departed the camp as soon as the campaign and the aerial strike began, which is a startling reality that a sizable portion of the Israeli public is unaware of.
The Palestinians, led by the Palestinian Authority in the occupied West Bank and Hamas in Gaza, appear to comprehend what Israelis do not: this is not a comprehensive and meaningful military campaign, which may serve Benjamin Netanyahu's political goals, but it is a cause for regret because not too long after the Israeli occupation troops withdrew from the camp, the Palestinian resistance fighters will return and resume their fedayeen operations there.
