The Palestinian Authority (PA), according to Hussein Al-Sheikh, is on the verge of bankruptcy. He said that it would soon cease to be in effect, which would result in Israel regaining control of the occupied West Bank.
In Al-Sheikh's view, Israel alone is to blame for the current situation in the occupied West Bank. The Israeli army's repeated intrusions into the regions under the security control of the PA, along with violations of the Oslo Accords, eventually led the PA to announce that it was unable to maintain security in occupied Palestine.
The predictions of rage regarding the PA's close end did not occur by accident. For example, once every few weeks, elite PA staff members make statements such, "We are going to stop the security cooperation with Israel," or "We are going to present a complaint to the international court." Everyone is aware that these are merely meaningless declarations made in response to the mounting pressure from the Palestinian public.
Substantial quantities of money have been invested in the Palestinian Authority since its establishment in 1996. Over the years, the Authority's donor States have resolutely abstained from checking the purposes for which the money is used; they haven't stirred up any issues with Palestinians or kept track of them.
The incursion of "Yimam" and "Dvdvan" fighters into Area A will not result in the end the Palestinian Authority; rather, this will happen only when the funding is stopped, which means that the authority will last as long as the money is coming from Europeans who still support the idea of creating a Palestinian State.
