In the event of recurrent confrontations in May 2021, Israeli occupation police have created a strategy to shoot live ammunition at Palestinian demonstrators in the interior of the occupied Palestinian territory in 1948.

Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvière agreed with the idea, saying that in the event of a multi-front conflict, it was justifiable to permit the use of live ammunition against Palestinian demonstrators who had blocked roads and prevented army units from accessing their bases.

The strategy is a result of the lessons discovered during the events of May 2021.
