According to the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) of the United Nations, since the commencement of July 2023, the occupation has displaced 13 Palestinian families, totaling 84 people, including 44 children, from the Yatta passenger south of Hebron.

The main cause of their displacement, according to a report by the United Nations Office, was the occupation's escalating restrictions on families’ transformation in Masafer Yatta.

13 different demographic groups make up the Masafer Yatta hamlet, which occupies an area that makes up 18% of the West Bank region that has been designated by the occupation as "firing zones" and used for military drills. About 7% of the hamlet population abandoned their houses within the previous three months.
