Adnan Abu Hasna, the media adviser for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip, reported that, with the exception of Khan Yunis Governorate, 44 UNRWA schools are housing at least 20,363 displaced Gazans.
According to Abu Hasna, the number of displaced people using UNRWA schools and shelter facilities will probably rise as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
In this context, Abu Hasna brought out the fact that three UNRWA schools suffered damage as a result of incidental damage from Israeli warplane airstrikes.
UNRWA provided the aforementioned number of schools with alternate electricity sources, 24-hour access to water, and more toilets in light of previous emergency situations.
According to the media adviser, everything is going according to plan, and UNRWA has teams ready and pre-appointed spread around the centers who can handle this situation in terms of giving citizens the essential food and relief materials as well as offering needed medical care.
