The Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs has reported that disease, hunger, and medical negligence are ravaging Palestinian prisoners in Israeli detention centers.

The commission revealed the deteriorating health conditions of several inmates, including:

  • Hussein Abu Kweik (68 years old), who has lost 60 kilograms of weight. He suffers from severe inflammation in his knees and joints, and from scabies disease. Despite repeated pleas, he has not received any medical treatment.

  • Raed Al-Ratroot (39 years old) is enduring severe dental problems, yet receives no treatment despite his worsening condition.

  • Sohaib Kabha (30 years old) suffers from constant headaches and blurry vision, especially in his left eye, due to a head injury caused by prison guards’ assault. He has also lost 50 kilograms of weight.
