Bassem Naim, a member of Hamas' political bureau, stated that desperate efforts are being made to reach a partial agreement before U.S. President Donald Trump's visit to the region.

Naim explained that the proposed partial agreement involves the release of some Israeli captives in exchange for limited humanitarian aid being allowed into the Gaza Strip, without offering any real guarantees for a cessation of the war.

He emphasized that Hamas and the Palestinian resistance will not accept any deal that does not include a clear clause for a comprehensive end to the war.

In the same context, Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper reported that mediators are working to achieve an agreement between Hamas and the Israeli government before or during the arrival of the U.S. President's visit to the region, expected in the middle of this month.
