The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that laboratories and blood banks in the remaining hospitals across the Gaza Strip are operating with only 40% of their medical equipment, under immense pressure from the volume of laboratory tests.
The Ministry confirmed that the Israeli occupation has destroyed 60% of medical devices in the Strip’s hospitals. It also noted that the remaining equipment is functioning without any routine maintenance systems, and no spare parts are available—especially amid the continued blockade and closure of crossings, which prevents the entry of essential medical supplies.
The Ministry stressed the urgent need to supply hospitals’ laboratories with additional devices to meet the demands of conducting tests for patients and the wounded.
