The Director of Blood Banks at the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Sahar Ghanem, issued an urgent plea to the world to intervene immediately to save patients, warning that they will die due to the severe shortage of blood.

In a press statement, Ghanem said, "We are in desperate need of 7,000 blood units immediately," pointing out that there are not enough donors in Gaza due to widespread anemia and hunger.

Since March 2, the Israeli occupation has closed the crossings into the Gaza Strip, blocking the entry of food, humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and goods, which has led to a dramatic deterioration in the humanitarian situation.
