Amjad Al-Shawa, head of the Palestinian NGO Network, warned that vital sectors in Gaza are on the brink of total collapse due to the worsening fuel crisis.
In a press statement, Al-Shawa explained that Gaza requires 275,000 liters of fuel daily, yet less than half of that amount is currently available. He warned that the telecommunications sector is particularly at risk of collapsing due to the ongoing fuel shortage.
Since March 2, Israeli occupation authorities have imposed a severe blockade on the Gaza Strip, allowing only a very limited number of trucks to enter, further exacerbating the humanitarian situation in the region.
