The media advisor to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Gaza, Adnan Abu Hasna, warned against the occupation’s plans to establish what they call a “Humanitarian City” in the southern Gaza Strip, stressing that it would serve as mass detention camps for Palestinians.
In a press statement, Abu Hasna said, “The occupation has been planning to implement this goal since the establishment of aid distribution points in southern Gaza, but this time, the Israeli efforts to forcibly displace Gaza residents into mass detention camps in Rafah — as a prelude to displacing them outside their land — have been openly declared.”
Abu Hasna warned of the consequences of implementing this plan and forcing Palestinians to go to that completely destroyed area, which cannot accommodate 2 million Palestinians in just 60 square kilometers of Gaza, where life is unlivable and the future holds no prospects for them.
