The Gaza Ministry of Health announced that 11 Palestinians have died from famine and malnutrition within 24 hours due to the ongoing Israeli blockade. It stated that the total death toll from famine has risen to 212, including 98 children.

Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, said in his daily press briefing that the hunger and malnutrition crisis is worsening rapidly, especially among children, warning that acute malnutrition rates in Gaza have reached the highest level ever recorded.

He pointed out that in July alone, 136,000 children under the age of five were examined, with 12,000 diagnosed with acute malnutrition, including 2,500 whose lives are at severe risk. He noted that this represents an 18% increase compared to June.
