The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth revealed sharp disagreements among international parties regarding the proposed timeline for the disarmament of the resistance in the Gaza Strip.
According to the sources, the Israeli government considers the extended period for disarmament unacceptable, insisting on swift and strict supervision to ensure the “security of settlements” and areas near Gaza.
The newspaper reported that Qatar and Turkey are proposing a two-year period before completing the full disarmament process — a timeline Israel deems unacceptable, as it insists on one that does not exceed a few months.
It added that the Israeli government has informed the U.S. side that failure to fully disarm Hamas would push it to intervene directly to carry out the process itself.
