Medical sources reported the martyrdom of three-month Ali Abu Zour due to the severe cold and a recent weather depression, particularly inside tents across the Gaza Strip. 

Mahmoud Basal, spokesman of the Civil Defence, warned of the unprecedented sharp decrease in temperature degrees witnessed in Gaza since the beginning of winter. 

The Government Media Office also warned from the aggravating humanitarian crisis due to the continued closure of borders, and the prevention of homes and caravans allowed to enter Gaza amidst successive cold waves. This has led to the collapse of over 50 affected houses and buildings, casualties and injuries, and deaths from cold inside displacement tents. He also noted that at least 127,000 tents are no longer usable and fail to provide minimum protection for over 1.5 million displaced people.
