Ismael Haniya, Chief of Hamas’ Political Bureau, congratulated the Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the success of the Kuwaiti National Assembly’s elections. Haniya wished the elected members luck in serving their country and achieving the aspirations of their people. He also said that such ‘success and accomplishment’ reflects political awareness and civilized behavior; a model that is looked up to in the Arab and Islamic world. He expressed his appreciation to Kuwait’s positions on Palestine throughout history, and Kuwait’s support to the Palestinian cause and the struggle of the Palestinian people and its role against normalization with the occupation. Finally, he expressed his hope for the Assembly’s support to the Palestinian cause continue in the future.
