After a meeting joining five Palestinian factions, the factions called for the resumption of national dialogue and a new round of work for the secretaries-general of the factions to address all the issues enlisted on the national agenda.
The five factions are the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command, the Islamic Jihad, Vanguard for the Popular Liberation War (As-Sa’iqa), and the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine.
They all reaffirmed their commitment to the national dialogue to end the division and reconstruct the institutions based on national partnership. The factions also called for the reformation of the Palestinian Council in accordance with the National Conciliation Document of the Prisoners 2006.
Other propositions included reaching an agreement on the strategy to be used against the occupation and settlements, the formation of a joint leadership for the popular resistance, and launch of all forms of popular resistance until reaching an Intifada.
The factions also stressed their opposition to returning to Oslo Accords, whether to the negotiations or the security coordination; and their adherence to the resolutions of the PLO’s National and Central Councils.
These resolutions include terminating the transitional stage of Oslo Accords, withdrawing the recognition of the Israeli entity, ending the security coordination, boycotting the Israeli economy, and terminating Paris’ Protocol on Economic Relations.
The factions condemned all forms of normalization with the occupation – the most recent being Morocco’s agreement, and expressed their faith and trust in the Arab peoples and their support to the Palestinian cause.
